Jan Rybansky - guide
I grew up at the Mountain Chalet in the High Tatras. As a result, I spent most of my childhood in the mountains. In the summer, I used to go climbing, rafting down the rivers, take part in triathlon and cyclocross races. In the winter, I first preferred cross-country skiing, then ski mountaineering and climbing. When we could finally travel abroad, I enjoyed the higher mountains, particularly in winter. Therefore, I ascended Grossglockner, the north face of Eiger or Khan Tengri in the Tian Shan mountain range (7,010 m).
When I found out that I could enjoy MOUNTAIN MOTION instead of racing all the time, I became a professional ski instructor and a guide in canyons and rocks. I have completed plenty of courses in Slovakia and, mainly, abroad, where I have been working until now. Currently, I am working in Austria. In winter, I guide the clients on touring skis to 3,000-metre peaks and, in the summer, we climb the mountains along protected routes called via ferrata, go kayaking, indulge in rafting or explore the magic of canyoning. I am also the member of Salzburger Bergsportführerverband.
And I still love cross-country skiing! I never miss the Euroloppet and Worldloppet ski marathon races, which are held all around the world (Yellowstone Rendezvous, Engadin Marathon, legendary Lapponia Hiihto, Koasa Lauf and many others).
